WHAT IS BLUEPRINT?
Challenging Limits of ConservationBlueprint is Duke Conservation Technology's flagship event.
Blueprint is a sustainable tech ideation conference: we bring together passionate students, visionary experts, and forward-thinking organizations to address critical environmental issues. Putting diverse perspectives in such proximity drives valuable insights, ideas, and awareness. This context leads to the most effective win-win solutions. |
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Unique & cutting-edge solutions for real world issuesAs a participant of Blueprint, your focus will be on solutions around problems at the interface of people and wildlife such as illegal poaching, invasive species, deadly human-wildlife interaction, and the democratisation of natural resource management.
This conference will raise awareness and engage new perspectives in the area of international development through the lens of conservation technology. Ultimately, this leads to the formation of plans and designs for projects that can be completed by a variety of student groups on campuses in conjunction with leading experts from around the world. Leading experts will present and propose issues and projects to Blueprint participants by pitching on their area of interest. Participants will indicate their preference for the various topics presented and form student team groups. |
These student teams will spend the following day collaborating with each other, faculty, and industry experts, to design solutions to their chosen issue, crowdsourcing many different ideas and forming concrete plans for continued work following the conference. This opens a gateway for the implementation of physical solutions that come out of Blueprint.
